Conditions governing the non-commercial study, citation, and personal practice of acoustic blues tablatures, technical lutherie schematics, and regional oral histories published by the Meigs County Riverbend Blues Preservation Society.
Ratified by Archival Board: Autumn 2026 • Pomeroy, Ohio
Educational & Cultural Purpose
All musical arrangements, ASCII tablatures, historical monographs, and lutherie schematics published on Pomeroy Blues & Riverbend Archive are curated and distributed under the educational charter of the Meigs County Riverbend Blues Preservation Society. These materials are provided to foster the study and preservation of traditional American acoustic fingerstyle blues, slide guitar mechanics, and Ohio River maritime heritage.
Personal & Pedagogical Usage of Tablatures
Acoustic musicians, music educators, and folklore students are warmly permitted and encouraged to download, print, and study our musical transcriptions and tablature charts for personal practice, classroom teaching, and community workshops. If you reproduce our historical transcriptions in educational syllabi or scholarly articles, we ask that you cite the repository as:
Meigs County Riverbend Blues Preservation Society, Pomeroy Blues & Riverbend Archive, Pomeroy, Ohio (pomeroyblues.org).
The interactive Resonator String-Tension Calculator and Cone Setup Manual provide mathematical approximations based on standard acoustic string mass physics (Taylor's formula) and typical break-angle vectors.
Because vintage 1930s instruments, hand-spun aluminum cones, and varied neck timbers exhibit idiosyncratic structural strengths, every musician and luthier must exercise individual caution when tensioning instruments. The society provides these formulas as historical and technical guidance to assist luthiers in making informed bench decisions.
Commercial Restrictions
Systematic automated harvesting, unauthorized mirroring, or commercial redistribution of our archival essays, proprietary vector schematics, or curated oral history recordings for profit without the written consent of our board of trustees is strictly prohibited.
